Elections Alberta is committed to providing our visitors with a web site that respects their privacy. This page summarizes the privacy policy and practices on our web site.

This website uses cookies to collect anonymous information. We also use a software program to monitor network traffic to gather statistical information on web site usage. This software receives and records the Internet Protocol (IP) address of the computer that has contacted our web site, the date and time of the visit and the pages visited. We make no attempt to link these addresses with the identity of individuals visiting our site.
The Elections Alberta website has enabled Google Analytics Advertising Features that use the Google Analytics cookie and the Facebook Pixel that uses Facebook cookies to collect anonymous statistical information such as browser type, screen size, traffic patterns and pages visited. Elections Alberta uses this anonymous data for Remarketing with Google Analytics and Facebook Remarketing, which allows us to provide users with more relevant ad content. We do not store personal information in cookies, nor do we collect personal information from you without your knowledge, as you browse the site.
You can use Ads Settings to manage the Google ads you see and opt out of Ads Personalization. Even if you opt out of Ads Personalization, you may still see ads based on factors such as your general location derived from your IP address, your browser type, and your search terms. You can also manage cookies in your web browser.
