|Tim Hoven||Tim Hoven, an independent candidate for the upcoming Provincial General Election engaged in campaign activity and posted a campaign website while unregistered. An independent candidate is ineligible to register and perform any campaign activity under section 9(2) and 9(2.1) of the Election Finances and Contributions Disclosure Act (EFCDA) until after the commencement of the campaign period.
Mr. Hoven agreed to remove his website and not accept any contributions or incur any campaign expenses until the campaign period begins, in accordance with section 9(1.1) EFCDA.

Banff-Kananaskis Constituency Association
|The Banff-Kananaskis Constituency Association sponsored an advertising billboard, placed along the eastbound portion of Highway 1 near the Highway 40 intersection, in Alberta. The billboard did not include an authorization statement stating the sponsor’s name and contact information contrary to s. 134 (2) of the Election Act. The Constituency Association has agreed to modify the billboard to ensure that the correct information is displayed. Further, they have agreed that all future advertising of this nature will adhere to the provisions, as outlined in the Election Act and the Chief Electoral Officer’s Advertising Guidelines for Political Participants.||February 10, 2023|
