Polls Are Now Open For The Provincial By-Election In Innisfail-Sylvan Lake And Fort McMurray-Conklin

EDMONTON – Alberta’s Chief Electoral Officer, Glen Resler, confirms that the polls in Innisfail-Sylvan Lake and Fort McMurray-Conklin are now open. Election Day poll locations are open today, July 12, 2018, in both electoral divisions between the hours of 9:00 am and 8:00 pm.

Canadian citizens who reside in Alberta and are at least 18 years of age or older on Election Day are eligible to vote if they are resident in the electoral division.

Information on all poll locations can be found on our website: click on “More Information” and then click on “Polling Places”.

To be added to the List of Electors, an elector may register at the polls by providing authorized identification containing your name and residential address in the electoral division.  A list of authorized identification is on our website:  click on “Voters” and then click on “ID required to vote”.

The unofficial count will occur at the close of polls at 8:00 pm and will be hand counted by election officers. Results will be available as they are received on our website: click on “Election Results”.
